Additional Information

The FISH Maker's Market will be held on March 12, 2026, from 2-4 pm at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 110 N. Whitney Way, Madison. Selling is only open to FISH members, but anyone can come and shop!

The Maker's Market was created to allow kids to showcase the quality handicrafts they have spent time learning and making. What is a handicraft? Handicrafts are simply anything created skillfully, by hand, for a purpose. In the past, this has included woodworking items like walking sticks and yarn art, sewing projects like coasters, bookmarks, and headbands, jewelry, magnets, knit or crocheted items, paracord key chains and bracelets, paintings or drawings, soap, candles, playdoh, and baked goods.

While items will be sold, the primary audience is other kids and their parents and grandparents. Items are all priced at $5 or less, so the focus is not on making money, but learning a skill and sharing that with others. All items sold are to be student made (of course parents can help a bit too) and age appropriate for the child. We will also have a time of "bartering" between tables.  Each family can decide if this is something they would like to do or not.  We can explain more about this later.

In order to sell at the Maker's Market, you will need to sign up with your planned handicraft!  This allows us to know how many tables we need and can plan accordingly.  Please sign-up by Friday, March 6th.

If your family does not want to participate in the crafting/selling portion, we encourage you to support your FISH families by shopping at our market!  You can also invite any friends and family to shop (we have learned that this is a great event for Grandparents to come to!).
