Join us for our last Parent Enrichment Meeting for the year!
We will have a veteran homeschool panel, including Shelly Kohrt, Kathleen Seeger, Becky Hutchinson, and Yvonne Onsager, who will specifically talk about homeschooling high school. Kristy Rewey will be facilitating the meeting; and treats will be served!
Topics covered will be:
- Big picture: Why homeschool high school? How did you approach homeschooling high school? AKA - where to start.
- Details: transcripts, deciding on what classes look like and how many credits, grading, GPA, how to teach classes you don’t know, setting deadlines, etc.
- Community: How do you find/continue this?
- Resources: favorite curriculum, online classes, dual enrollment options, extra credit classes vs. the main subjects needed for Graduation, etc.
- Reflection: What has surprised you about homeschooling high school and something you've learned/piece of advice to share.
We will have plenty of time for fellowship with other homeschooling parents!
This event is open to ALL homeschoolers, so please feel free to invite anyone you feel would be interested in attending.
